The site has nothing on it but caravans and lodges, so if your looking for a really quiet and peaceful holiday this park's for you.

I would recommend this holiday to anyone looking for a peaceful strees free holiday I have been going here for 5 years now and even now my children are older they still come with me they book there own caravan so it's great.

This campsite was all we look for, quiet and private and yet welcoming to our young children. There was easy access to the water and we were able to come and go as we pleased with our boats. A fantastic site, well run by an unobtrusive family team.

We were really impressed by the cleanliness of our accommodation and how neat and tidy everything was. We would also like to commend the prompt and friendly service from the Hoseasons staff to amend the booking and arrange a later arrival.
It was rather cold in the rooms at night, but thanks to lovely warm bedding, this wasn't too much of a problem.
Thank you for a lovely weekend break - it definitely exceeded our expectations.

Avon wood is a beautiful place and very well sited to enjoy the Lake District. The caravan was to a very high standard and everything you needed was provided. It was such a peaceful site but a 5 minute drive got you to Bowness where there are shops, pubs, boat cruises, crazy golf and plenty more things to see. Overall we feel very lucky to have found such a good place on our first visit to the Lakes. We would definitely recommend this site and hope to visit again very soon.

I would highly recommend this park. We have never been to a caravan park quite so remote and beautiful before - it was a perfect, peaceful and relaxing holiday. Even our normally busy and very active children enjoyed it, especially as it was on the lake. Our eldest son has autism and it was perfect for him too, as there were no other families nearby for him to annoy!!!! Lovely!

We had such a great time at Avon Wood! The staff were lovely and very helpful, and the standard of our Bowness Caravan was very high - the best we've ever stayed in. To be able to see Windermere from the caravan was wonderful over breakfast every morning! A great base to explore the lakes and we will be trying to book for next year - thanks!

Our caravan was of a very high standard and contained everything you could need. I would recommended it to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing spot as the park was very peaceful. We had a lovely view over the lake and each caravan had its own patio area and barbeque which was secluded from the other nearby caravans giving you your own outdoor space to enjoy.

This is the perfect holiday if you want to spend your time enjoying the Lake District. The accommodation was excellent - very clean, and the location was beautiful. We were able to keep ourselves to ourselves and just enjoy the view.

A lovely quiet park, we really enjoyed having our breakfast whilst watching the rabbits, birds and squirrels. Through the trees we could see the boats passing on the lake. What we really liked was that you could not hear any traffic - definitely a park for people that like it quiet.
